Subject: Canadian wildfires

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
I guess Hurricane Harvey pretty much dominated the news so while I've heard mention the wildfires in western Canada (even a couple of posts below) I hadn't really considered them too much until I saw the full moon here in NY last evening. It was blood red. Is it possible that this smoke could be responsible for the cool days we've had recently. Even when the sun's shining bright without much wind it still seems a little chilly. The reason I ask is, the other day during the partial eclipse here, there was a noticeable cooling. On the day of the eclipse, it was positively hot in the bright sun until a few minutes into the eclipse, a cooler period and it warmed up again later.
Likewise, is it possible that this smoke could actually moderate the night time lows, reducing radiative cooling and the risk of frost? Are the wildfires going to be a factor in how we finish the crop this year?
