southern MN | I've had serious troubles after updates, of not getting things to communicate. Ends up exactly as you describe.
Actually the update wasn't required, but that ship sailed...... I've not updated since spring of 2016, and wish I hadn't done that one.....
The latest several updates have been to lock down your drone and you need to be registered online so DJI can see your every move now, is what I understand? As well the old good maps went away. There were no improvements made for the owner.
Not sure what to do now, I don't think you are allowed to go back a version any more. Need to debug the upgrades and get everything on the same page.
If this is the future of high tech, self driving cars, tractors, computer software in general, and other technology, boy are we in trouble..... It's a one way street where you can't go back, and the big companies don't care if your day is ruined by their non preforming update they dumped on you.
