Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | You would know that it specifically mentioned that US farmers have substantially benefited from the 2012 US-South Korean trade deal by eliminating tariffs on agricultural goods. Beef exports in particular have risen substantially, pork & chicken as well. Our corn & soybean exports to South Korea rival those to Japan a major export destination. Any re-negotiation of the 2012 agreement stands to affect our ag exports. That's just a fact, not a political position in any way.
I've just spent a couple of hours reviewing our ag trade statistics with South Korea so that I can be at least somewhat knowledgeable about the situation and have an informed opinion as to the effects this renegotiation might have on our market prospects. What have you done in that regards? |
