SD/ND/FL | This collapse in MW is something else. I know the wheat in my area of E ND was about avg with some big yields in the RRV.
But not enough to compensate for the short crop in other areas combined with lower acreage.
Goes to show that these markets typically top out well before harvest.
We'll be planting a bit of wheat next year for the first time in a long time. Sold 50% at $6.50 awhile back. When I told a friend about it from Western ND, he told me he was long 75k of wheat in the bin, unsold in the field, and long 75k on the board. I don't dare ask him about it today..... | |
