Subject: sudangrass question

near dyersville iowa
not sorghum sudan. straight sudangrass. Planted between strips of corn. Was wondering if grazing it down to the ground now would be a good idea. I m pretty sure i cant pasture it after frost. Just cut and baled it two weeks ago. Probably about a foot tall or a little more at the moment. Was thinking graze it down to the ground over the next week or so..then maybe put some cover oats in? Corn strips are a month behind schedule because of a variety of factors. I may graze them off too..if the corn for some reason doesnt pan out. corn is only in half acre strips. not a lot of land. 7 acres total. 2.5 in corn. was an experiment. might turn into a larger experiment.
