Boone Co. Iowa | Here two crop people I trust say 1) 150 to 180 bpa. Person #2) 80 to 85% of trend.
Last year yields (whole fields) were 185 to 225. In 2012 the pro farmer tour zeroed out one field in our area.
Last week we got half an inch in four rain events, and just dumped out a strong inch from past 36 hrs. That will really help beans fill.
I had a number do 185 last year; it was damaged by severe wind at VT. Number next to it did 225. To think that area crops locally are not going to make 185 is significant.
Iowa results are going to be interesting. | |
