Easy for non GMO to be all the rage when folks have money. Our current economy is making sure that the folks knock that thinking off!
When everyone is doing it because it's gonna save their farm, no one makes any money. Used to get 3.75 over the board which was awesome in a typical -.75 basis area. Most of the time we were 2-2.5 over and still have a decent yielding bean.
You can still do some products today that will get you $6 over or more but that doesn't mean you take more home in your pocket with the yield penalty. Some have to learn that the hard way. Genetics still matter. |
