Nebraska aka the boondocks | After looking at the photos, my first thought was " this can't be for real!" Then an hour ago I recalled the unl course at the landmark planter clinic this spring in Hastings. I have mentioned this before, but the class was called " what happened in 2016." Last year there were a lot of problems in the platte valley irrigated corn. Long story short that is what the ears loooked like, especially p801. Was a lot of talk in the class about" beer can ears," "zipper ears". bacterial leaf stripe," etc, but no real understanding of what exactly happpened. There were pivots that did 80 bushel that normally are 250. Hopefully the problems are isolated.
