Nw Iowa
We are right on mn-ia border about a 1/3 of the way across state from Sioux Falls. Crops look good but today's heat is really showing up. Seeing the sandy pockets in fields today that I haven't seen for a couple of years. Any compaction is showing up. We will need some rain this week , probably early this week for us to have full potential on the corn as we are now tasseling.by no means a drought just not like last year when rains were coming every week. Beans still are made in august, I have had some tough looking July beans blow me away and some outstanding looking July beans disappoint.
