| Lots of corn set to pollinate during coming week throughout corn belt. WCB looks to be hot and dry--BUT, if a rain event comes this market could tank. However, IF rain event does not occur (as forecast indicates) this week could really shrink the national corn yield. "Here" in middle of Iowa we are running about 3 degrees warmer than last year for first half of July, but the real kicker is 3 inches less rainfall (according to Ames Airport reporting station). My sense is the coming week will really tell the tale on this year's crop. | |
