SE Iowa | Area corn going downhill fast in northern part of our county and neighboring Henry County but grass is green in Burlington area and east across the river to Biggsville, Il where I was yesterday. Also very dry to the west and northwest of Lee County where they also missed all the rain. Pastures are shot, corn firing, ears setting are shriveling, lots of 5 foot corn. South half of county is now garden spot after last week. | |
