North Dakota | While a cell phone might take acceptable photos to look at on a screen, when you get them printed they lack the "punch" of a full size lens and camera. They also lack the ability to make significant changes to exposure.
Any Canon, Nikon, Fuji or Pentax compacts take reasonable photos for under $250. They also give you a fair range of exposure compensation and usually a telephoto lens. Most only have a screen to view through. To get to interchangeable lenses and eye level viewfinder will cost you at least $400. As with most things the more you pay the more you get. Around $1000 gets a mid level DSLR with a good lens. Top of the line is $5000+. | |
