| not trying to kill a crop but in my area which is north central south Dakota the spring wheat is about 6 inches tall and the head is already in the boot on the early planted stuff just waiting to come out. The corn is having a hard time coming up and was planted around the 5th of may. now I m not trying to kill our crop yet but if it doesn't rain by the end of this week the corn will be about toast with the 90 degree heat coming and the wheat is all but shot now and I just want to remember this is in a couple counties that last year probably posted about a 130 to 140 average which is unheard of in my area. | |
