| Nobody alive has seen it this wet around here. Mn/WI border. Crops all planted that can get to and then once planted lots under water. Corn is up and very sick looking. Beans poking through and the stragglers are really behind. No sunshine. Don't think it pays to replant spots if it does dry out as any rain at all it swells right back up. Water coming right out of hillsides. I'd say 20% of acres a loss for the year. And those are always the best acres too. Just can't fathom why prices don't respond. It must be damn hard work to keep downplaying this in the market. Bottom line though I want a disaster to get prices back in line. Its like having the flu as a kid; you do everything possible to put off throwing up but once you do it gets better fast. | |
