| Thanks for the replies. I saw your comments last week, just had to get going at the time.
This field has no trouble at all staying the ground. In fact I could easily remove the ballast and be fine, even with an empty seed hopper. This soil, now on its second year no-till, but abou 6 years prior of perennial fescue which also is "no-till". The soil is in very nice condition, especially since it has so much white clay in it and allmost no tile.
