I don't think 2-3ft is enough in this part of the country. Post will lean over time only 3ft deep 'here'

I asked the same question a couple years ago on here. I pushed in an 8ft post (3.5" pipe) 3ft deep with the payloader. Then I and the guys shoved on the post by hand. None of us were very confident. We then took the next 32ft piece of pipe and cut it into 1/3 rather than 1/4. So I took the 10.5ft post and shoved it in 4.5ft deep. BIG difference.

So far I don't regret the fence a bit. I was a little nervous about no concrete or pea gravel around the posts, but it works good. Once we got onto it, it went pretty fast also
