NEIA | Have an AGI-4 receiver that couldn't find any satellites. Put it in a different tractor and same problem. Had Omnistar turn their signal on. Still nothing. After messing with it for a while I just took the cover off. Found a lot of corrosion on the bottom plate and some on the circuit board. Apparently water got in it. There is a lot of corrosion around the plugs where some other antennas get put in. Showed it to a couple dealer mech and they said it looked like water damage. Cleaned the board up real good to see if maybe I would get lucky. Nope. Now what do I do? Ag Express can't work on them. Topcon won't give them any info. Dealer said they have to be sent out to Topcon repair center in California and it will take a while and might not be cheap. Dealer is checking with Agco about this problem as the unit is only 3 years old and should not have leaked, Anybody ever see this before? Is their anybody else that can fix these things? Hoping the dealer will rent or loan me a unit till I can get it fixed. | |
