South Central MN | I haven't seen your previous posts, but I just got my own barn filled a couple weeks ago. We did what the others suggested; built it for feeders, but all of the tees are in place for the additional waterers and brooders for wean to finish. I still have an off-farm job, and so I was worried about the initial wean workload and so stuck with feeders for now. Don't think they even charged me more compared to the quote.
Give me a week or two and I plan on putting together a bit of a manifesto on all the things I learned building mine. I'm not saying I did it the right way, but one thing I found when researching the barn is that unless you go with an integrator who requires you to build a barn to his spec, there is very little info out there collected into one place as far as building lessons learned/ideas that worked or didn't work. | |
