Man that really looks good, are you going to roll / crimp this mix at planting time? Was the rye not effected by the cold temperatures a couple weeks ago? Our Aroostook rye drilled October 18-19 was jointed, and those two coldest night (16-17) each night really knocked it back.


I'll roll it if it's mature enough at planting time which is about 2.5-3 weeks away for me. Typically it's not far enough along to roll when planting corn. The roller acts more like a chopper when it's not mature enough.

The rye wasn't affected as much as I thought it would be. The most mature I had (boot stage) did have some heads killed. It got down to 22 here two consecutive nights.
