micros are tough because of their expense and distribution in the soil. some are effectively used as foliar feed and some can be used as seed treatments or in-furrow to control the costs.

For instance, zinc in amounts to affect yields can cost $50+ per acre broadcast but as little as $4 as a seed treatment. others can be much more expensive. So, as a broadcast it gets really high to affect test levels and affect yields.
