Are you trying to log the position? If so, it is easier with the webuser interface. Connect the multiport adapter in the back of the 542 then plug a CAT V cable into it, plug the other end into your laptop, start the 542. After a minute or two open a web browser and type the address 169.254.1.0 in the address bar. This will bring up a username/password page. Use admin/password from there, you should be able to figure out how to enable logging.

Myself, I survey them in as a rover using our ODOT CORS network. I enable corrections via Bluetooth and use Lance's NTRIP app to connect. As a rover, the 542 will give you the average position in the webuser interface. After letting it run for anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours, write down the average position (LAT/LON/ALT) then do a new base here and enter the coordinates from the average. Works very well.
