| Yes. A 252 (and 262) can be used as an External TSIP receiver on an Ez-Guide 500 with an ez-steer system.
These receivers are getting to be old, but it is a very cost effective way to get RTK accuracy.
Should work with an ez-guide 250 also.
The biggest differences between using external 252 on ezg 500 or an unlocked ezg 500 are:
- 252 drops out from rtk if it is not getting correction stream in about 10 sec. Where as ezg-500 RTK can go 30 seconds.
- satellite status page list is empty when using External TSIP, and also the dgps info can not be found (distance to base etc).
A computer with a serial cable and Ag-Remote software is needed to get the port settings right on 252.
Note: A 372 can not be used in this manner. | |
