Had drivers side partial seat done in the 91 Toyota locally a couple years ago.  It was worn down and a few springs were exposed. Local place re-did the foam just on the drivers side area and stitched in new upholstery in ripped area onto existing good material.  Color does not match exactly but it was a good repair for not too much money.
