Garland Maine | Could you make a jig to cut it straight with a chainsaw and then use a couple of the smaller limbs for legs it would be neat to be able to say that you did it all yourself.
I have considered doing this, but have not tried yet. I think it would be to difficult to keep the bark intact, so I would probably peel the bark off.
You may need to prevent curling or warping during the drying process. If you are just going to air dry it simply weighting it down may suffice. If you can find a local place with a kiln you would have a better result
