New Brunswick, Canada
Depends on soil and load on the tire. I've got wide 650 radial metrics on the back of my main haying tractor lets me get on the fields in June with mild ruts. By early July they will just sink the tread in perfectly and pull hard. By August it can't hardly move without spinning on the dry hard soil, won't even pull up a strip of sod. I have a similar size tractor with 18.4 bias tires, it can't go in fields in June without making a mess, early July light ruts, August its perfect and pulls hard.

Guess I will be odd man out

What a waste of money

My past experience with wide floats is just that. Float and no traction.

So my question is. WHY.

Truck says Mitchell SD.
