niobrara nebraska | That is the normal mode of operation for us to sell in about 3 weeks. But the price per hundred is almost the same for steers and a discount for heifers to the fat market. So it is a little tempting to put on more weight but the threat of the bottom dropping out of the cash market with the way futures are is pretty scary. Would end up feeding them out for quite possibly exactly what they are worth right now potentially. Would really hate to do the work and waste the feed when you could save the corn in the bin and silage for the next rodeo this fall and hope for better results. | |
