Subject: RE: pulling sunfllower 1434 down the road

I bought a 35' soil finisher last year, and pulled it 250 miles home with a new 2015 Ford F350 dually 4x4, with the 6.7 diesel. I used this hitch: http://www.ebay.com/itm/63016-Tow-Ready-Black-30-Ton-Regular-Pintle...

The soil finisher came stock with a Class 4 (I think) ring, and the hitch wouldn't fit it. I bought a Class 3 hitch to put on the finisher, and it worked great. It was not a fun trip by any means, I had a blowout (took 4 extra tires with me just in case, and packed all bearings before I left). I wouldn't do it again. The finisher was 16' tall give or take, and I had to use a hot stick to get under quite a few lines. It was nerve wracking trying to judge the height of every line, almost gave me nightmares haha. The pickup handled it ok, but I wouldn't recommend going over 15 mph or so. The situation can end badly if you aren't careful.
