Trying to out think opposites can be tricky though lol
In order to make money, you have to do what's hard. Rarely does profit come easily and usually when it does, it's short lived and taken away just as easily. Right now, going unhedged looking forward might be considered "hard" with all of the conventional wisdom pointing at the giant wall of cattle in front of us. But the stuff going on right now makes me question this... maybe the hard thing is in fact hedging cattle when the basis nearby is so incredibly strong and in the blink of an eye the opportunity to lock price at a profit in the out months will be gone.
