sc ia | On my Hesston, I replaced one roll and repaired the other one by cutting off cleats from the scrapped roll and welding them on the one getting repaired. I balanced it and checked it for straightness by setting it on shafts perpendicular to the roll on each end. Shafts were blocked up off the shop floor and leveled. I checked the new roll too and got the repaired roll as good as the new without much trouble.
If you try to do it without taking them out, I would expect vibration. Vibration will self destruct a moco. | |
