Central Nebraska | thedodd - 3/25/2017 20:07 When you buy a 5 pack of the cameras the fifth camera is only about $20 (maybe40)... when you look at how individual cameras are $100.... You could get 2 5-packs and then have 2 spares or could maybe find other locations for them... Note: I just installed an 11 camera system using 2 nanostations, 2 8port 150W switches, 1 24port 250W switch, fiber connection between 2 of the switches, 2 APs and bought a computer with a higher end processor and installed a WD Purple surveillance HD for the recording part.
How many cameras are you running across your NanoStation link? Are you running the Unifi APs as well? I've invested a lot of money on Ubiquiti stuff in my house and am amazed ay my network. 24 Port POW switch, 48 port switch, 3 UAP AC-lite access points and a cloud key. I've got 8 Nanobeams and cameras at various places on the farm as well.
In the past 5 years I've installed well over $10,000 of Ubiquiti stuff for others. That s a lot of radios, cameras, switches, and access points! I've had a lot of fun doing it but its getting to the point where I need to find someone to take it over. I love doing the initial design, engineering, and setup but don't enjoy the follow up stuff. |
