Eastern, NC | If I was only going to buy one I would get excavator. We clear land with dozer and excavators. Run stump ripper attachment with hydraulic thumbs. Pulls stumps cleaner and a lot faster than digging them an rip them up and pile them. Then do the root raking with dozer. We also use some root rakes on excavators with a decent size machine you can carry a good swipe and root rake a good area in little time and keep from having to have a dozer. These new 160 size excavators with dozer blades look nice for lighter pushing. But I wouldn't do a lot of push work with it. | |
