Subject: My wife and I was talking

Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49
Just wondering how you guys out west and north with many head of cows do it. ( calving )
We had a heifer yesterday that needed the calf pulled. So we did and it was a hard pull. First one in a long time we had to use the pullers.
Everything ended up find and they are both in the barn in calving stall. But we only do about 50 head a year.
So we was wonder how you would have handled this situation out in the big country with several 100 head. How would you have caught her and have all the help and tools you would need. We have a barn and then calving stalls on the inside also. Some on here even have cameras set up in there barn.
I am sure that some times you have a good laugh at our hard to do things with our calving problems.
We have chased them around a 35 acre pasture and that wasn't fun at all.
Please tell me and others some of you difficult times and how you solved them.
