Northeast Iowa | Do they have access to feed during the day, even though they're fed in the evening? I've been feeding in the afternoon around 4:00-5:00 and then locking them away from feed the next morning if they have any feed left. Not a big deal with a TMR, but it helps a lot if you're using bales. Free access to water all day long. Haven't been outside at night for heifers since 1991 when I started doing the Konefal system. | |
