Western WY | You are probably too late for oxytocin to do any good. Lutalyse at day 11 will help. Excede or Excenel or Naxcell right now will help with any possible metritis/infection. +1 on the intra-uterine antibacterials.
It is fine to lightly pull to try to help her clean out. Notice I said "lightly," as in the amount of pull it might take to pull a glove off of someone else's hand if they are holding it out to you to pull off. If you have to apply much pull, or feel it start to pull apart, stop. This was taught to me by my vet, who is an excellent large animal vet. | |
