Talking with a local friend I've sold my retained Hereford bulls to about how he markets his pure Hereford calves.  He says he's had excellent luck selling bred heifer calves on Craig's list. 

He says there is a good market for healthy, well-cared-for bred Hereford heifers from calving ease bulls with vet shot records and from a known source.  He told me folks are willing to pay more for bred heifers where a local seller will stand behind them.

Tim, not sure about your area but I think you would have no trouble selling bred, spring calving heifers bred by a calving ease bull. My friend says he sells them off the farm at just under the local pure bred sale prices.  Maybe try Craig's list.
