| On a trip to Oklahoma, I saw an abandoned feed lot, still looked good. Grain bins, bulk bins, bunker, lots with inline bunks, etc. My thought is, why couldn't a person start that lotback up with dry lot cows? Putting in several hundred cows and breeding and calving a percentage every month. Steady flow of work and income, kinda like my old farrowing days. Ready supply of corn stalks and wet cake, and close to the packers if you wanted to feed out your own calves. Just sayin! | |
