Cullom, Illinois | Pumping thick cattle manure last week with all this nice weather. I struggle some with the manure being to thick. Normally I add water in the summer but don't want to get the winterized pumps out. Anyway, I run a Balzer tank with a 15 inch hydraulic pump feeding a five outlet hydro equalizer manifold. I've been having trouble keeping my rate even and high enough (4000 gpa). It seems to get worse as the tank emptys. I've been blaming the thick manure on this. Dealer made the suggestion today to try the long tails in the equalizer, thinking the back pressure will help maintain the rate and even flow. I was hoping someone on here had some experience with the equalizer manifold and could give some advice. | |
