Subject: What to plant for grazing

Storla SD
I have about 140 acres of crop ground that I want to plant to something I can graze stocker calves on. Part of it is planted to rye now. Plan is to graze the rye out and plant something else to graze later. But I will also need to plant something in the ground that doesn't have rye to graze mid summer. I was thinking about Sourgam Sudan grass after the rye, but is there something better? I was thinking oats and turnips planted in march and then millet turnip rapeseed combo after that. I am in SD with about 23 inches of rain fall. This is on some gravel ground that struggles to raise 110 bu corn.
