SE Iowa | They just released a new sensor, it's a bit bigger than most other multispecs that are comparable in the industry.
Pros: The algorithms are much better than most. They have stand counts, harvest predictions, they configure out water and soil, and have a unique feature that if you find an issue in the field (for example, corn lodging), you can highlight that area of the field and the program will find all of the stress that is the same kind in the field and highlight it for you.
Cons: bigger and bulkier, costs about $3-4k, but that is fairly average for multispecs.
IMPORTANT: they claim that you can fly at 20% overlap compared to other cameras that have to fly at 80%. They have a built in GPS to help with this. Turns out, ANY camera can fly at 20% overlap and use the drone's GPS and stitch an image like they do. They don't actually stitch the image at 20%, but tile the image. That is basically laying the image on a map only based by the GPS location. The map looks much worse, but still can be useful. If you want a good stitched image, you still have to fly the slantrange at 70-80%. | |
