They are either runts because they didn't grow, or were born late -from mothers who didn't calve on time? And they'd also have to be bred later, falling outside your usual calving timeframe, None of which sound like good reasons to choose them.
You dont automatically choose the biggest ones just because they're the biggest, so same goes for the smallest.
