Garvo, what's your experience with straw vs stalks? Prefer one over the other for any reason?


I like golden straw-those black calves look sharp-that's kind of important if ag talk members stop by-bean stubble is the best to keep em dry-my neighbors have a cow that I bale my bean stubble-but they also have a cow when I spread manure back on at 15 ton a acre-cornstalks seem like a natural medicine-seems like cattle eat those at anytime
no preference-lot of times just happy to have bedding-we buy about 200-800 bales a year
