Don't grow any corn down here, just cattle but understand 12-14 ton is a good crop. Corn yields quite variable due to roller coaster weather. Best description of our weather that I have ever heard is "Central TX is land of perpetual drought punctuated by flooding". Seems we are either swamp or desert. Usually spring rains quit and gets too hot, too early for very good corn yields.
