Are you sure that it came in the sofit?



Look up at the peak under the ridge cap.   If you see any light up there that is likely to be where the snow entered.


Couple winters ago I had a snow drift in the attic of one of my finishers.    Noticed it when my neck got wet from water dripping from an air inlet.     There was a small piece of foam seal that had blown out from under the ridge cap.
