Meredith, Victoria, Australia | You can now take any point data with an elevation attribute, and tell WM-Subsurface (Farm Works Surface) to use that as a topographic layer.
When you do this you have to acknowledge a disclaimer that you understand that the data should be collected from 'RTK quality' receivers.
Once you OK that box, you can do all the drainage lines, catchments, profiles etc.
If you have LIDAR data you would probably want to downsample it in another software package first, unless you have small fields. Farm Works runs rather slowly with the 2" resolution point cloud we generate, if the field is more than a few acres. It does however cope just fine over hundreds of acres with 1 metre resolution (approx. 40")
