A JD7800 has a standard closed centre load sensing steering circuit and so it is fairly straight forward to install a steering valve.
My choices for valve would either be Trimble or Raven, especially if trying to adapt to another brand of steering controller. I would not want to use an Outback valve with another brand of controller as the valve logic is non-standard.
