Subject: RE: Need header advice

Middle TN
We've run a draper for 4 years now and dont have a lot bad to say other than the lack of a flexible cutterbar and durability issues. We've had the center break out twice and tear up heck. One header was totaled and the one we have now is torn up awaiting repair. We've had antler sheds cut belts twice and thei price of headers is just plain expensive. Ive been pretty pleased with our auger tables as far as loss and they just seem to have held up better for us. I never had a feeding issue until now but I've been running a 1020 on a 1666 combine. We could only make our 3020 feed if the reel was all the way down and in. I want to go another route. I talked to John Young at Louisville about his head. I liked what i saw but I would like to hear from other folks about their experiences.
