Balefire -rice has been grown in Ontario ,remember maybe 40 yrs. ago believe Cook family was trying some around Wheatley.....every few yrs. somebody gets the idea that there should be a "new" cash crop,usually reason that wheat,corn,beans is most popular cash crops
