Cotton acres likely will be up 10-12% so 1.1-1.4 million acres. The numbers above might me a little stretched but not far off of possible. 3.5 million less corn acres sounds like a lot but you have to keep in mind last year we increased carryout by a large amount. With that kind of acreage traders would likely figure a 1.8 carryout on corn. That is roughly what it was last year with a 3.86 insurance price. Many want the market to price things based on what can happen but in all reality it is smarter to price things when the supply is better known and try to structure demand based on that.
