Subject: RE: Sink Drain Problems

Richland Center, Wi

The kitchen sink in my mother's house was running slow. I took apart the connections and found a white, thick, mucous-like substance. In her case, I turned up the temperature on the water heater, then let hot water run for about 15 minutes. Checked the pipes again and they were clean. Turned the temperature back down on the water heater.

Our master shower has had problems in the past. I can't open up the pipes to look at them. Again, turning up the temperature on the water heater (temporarily) and letting hot water run cleans them out.

Might be a "here" thing.
