Is fuel the only thing a truck needs to run down the road? Seems your numbers only included fuel and nothing for the truck. Then you make it look like your going to make a wage of 60 plus dollars per hour.

What about repairs? Tires are not cheap. Insurance? Depreciation? These are not free things last time I checked.


Insurance and depreciation are fixed cost whether sitting or hauling. There is a cost to running a truck but as long as you are making a profit it is better than letting it sit.

Far as your labor, unless you don't have any spare time at all it is a nonfactor.
